Terrarium, Living art captured in glass

Hello and Welcome! Here with in you will find journal of inspirational ideas, colors and trends that help define my personal style and where I feel I'm headed as a designer. So without further adieu I found this lovely little DIY terrarium via Green Wedding Shoes Blog. I read her blog quite a bit and really love all the DIY projects there. Because what could be better than sharing a really good idea right?

The terrarium has been a strong going trend for a couple of years now even hitting the high art scene. Recently Artist Paula Hayes was featured at the MOMA with her exquisite show "Nocture of the Limax maximus." Featuring her amorphic slug like terrariums filled with green wonder.

Terrariums are so visually appealing and retro. I absolutely love them. My Grandmother made a huge one for my mom back in the 70's and as a kid I remember being really fascinated with it.Last year for a Christmas trunk show in San Francisco I made quite a few terrariums of all sizes for my pop-up flower shop and they were quite a hit. Anyway, the example above is so lovely and delicate if your wedding or party theme is woodsy and romantic I could see something this being a great take away for guests to remember the event.
